Our practice sends and receives correspondence via Medical Objects. We aim to provide fast and effective correspondence with our colleagues.

Melissa’s qualifications include MBBS and FRANZCOG, including completion of both the Pelvic Floor Disorders and Hysteroscopic & Laparoscopic Surgery Advanced Training Modules during her advanced training years.

She has consulting rooms at the Nucleus Medical Suites and operates at Buderim Private Hospital. She will review all routine gynaecological patients from the age of 16 years. Areas of interest include:

• Cervical pathology

  • Colposcopy for abnormal cervical screening tests and post coital bleeding

  • Cervical polyps

  • LLETZ (under local or general anaesthetic)

• Contraception including insertion of Mirena or Copper IUD (in consulting rooms or under general anaesthetic)

• Medical and surgical management of abnormal uterine bleeding

  • Hysteroscopic removal of polyps and fibroids

  • Mieran insertion

  • Endometrial ablation/resection

  • Hysterectomy (vaginal, laparoscopic or open)

• Laparoscopy for:

  • Endometriosis including complex excision requiring ureterolysis

  • Ovarian cysts

  • Risk reduction for breast cancer (bilateral salpingo-oophoroectomy)

  • Bilateral salpingectomy for permanent contraception and ovarian cancer risk reduction

  • Laparoscopic hysterectomy

• Pelvic organ prolapse - including pessary fittings and surgery (vaginal hysterectomy, repair and apical support)

• Urinary incontinence

• Menopause

• Management of post-menopausal bleeding
