Dr Melissa Yeoh
Dr Melissa Yeoh is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). She provides care to women at the Nucleus Medical Suites and operates at Buderim Private Hospital. Melissa also works as an Obstetrician/Gynaecologist at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital where she is involved in the teaching and training of medical students and registrars. She is a lecturer with Griffith University.
Melissa completed her medical degree at James Cook University in 2010, before moving to the Sunshine Coast to work at Nambour General Hospital. During her training to become an Obstetrician/Gynaecologist, Melissa has worked at the Mater Mothers’ Hospital in Brisbane, as well as regional hospitals including Hervey Bay and Cairns.
She moved back to the Sunshine Coast to complete her advanced training. During this time, she has trained with a number of sub-specialists at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and completed both the Pelvic Floor Disorders and Hysteroscopic & Laparoscopic Surgery Advanced Training Modules. She has special interests in vaginal surgery (including prolapse surgery) as well as minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic (key hole) hysterectomies and removal of endometriosis.
In her spare time, Melissa enjoys hiking, rock climbing and pottery, as well as spending time with her nephews.
